Once upon a time, I owned a house with a walk-in pantry. Oh the luxury. The pantry in my new house is about a tenth of the size so being organised to maximise the small space is a must. The labels are chalkboard labels from Officeworks (Martha Stewart). I also attached two clipboards to the inside of the pantry door for a grocery list and weekly meal plan (see previous post). You can purchase double-sided mounting tape to affix the clipboards to the door (but be warned, they are difficult to move if you change your mind!). I purchased the woven baskets from Kmart and the plastic baskets from a variety store. I prefer to use the plastic baskets for anything that may leak but I have my eye on some lovely wire baskets from Howards Storage World. I have divided the cupboard into the following categories: - Flour - Rice - Pasta - Baking - Condiments - Cooking Sauces + Oils - Spreads - Cereal - Snacks - Canned Goods The opposite pantry door contains my spice rack (in alphabetical order) and a pocket for takeaway menus (and a pen). I purchased the menu pocket from Officeworks (Martha Stewart). I am also putting together a list of pantry items I like to keep on hand (as well as items for the fridge/freezer). I find if I have a well stocked pantry, I can come up with something edible at the last minute. I will post the list shortly. Have a great day!
I'm a list-maker. I find making lists keeps my life in somewhat of an order and I get a lot of satisfaction ticking things off my list. When it comes to my pantry, I have two clipboards attached to the inside of the door - one which features a Grocery List and the other a Weekly Meal Plan. I will post photos of my pantry in the next post but in the meantime, here are copies of what I use. Feel free to use.
